I'm a fan of Corsica so I ordered this book to get a glimpse of the island more than a century ago. Edward Lear's illustrations are beautiful.

This paperback edition is not easy to read though. For instance, the text on pg 13 is missing, some of the pages are repeated and the print is very small. That's why I'm giving it 3 stars.

Apart form being a great travel destination for it's unspoilt beauty, this is still true today as it was in the 19th century: "there are no beggars in Corsica", (even in this global recession).
